Context
Pylons and towers can present different problems:
absence of installed collective protection systems
collective protection systems installed, but incompatible with the worker's equipment or not conforming to standards
structures and equipment that are in poor condition due to little or no maintenance
Techniques
The use of PPE and access techniques give a safe method of short term access, or to repair collective systems that are in place. The following techniques can be used:
climbing the structure with protection from a fall arrest system
work positioning with the aid of an adjustable lanyard
